Biography:
Isabelle Ribeiro was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been living in Florida for about 6 years. Collecting and photographing resin ball-jointed dolls has always been something she has done to relax and distract herself from her problems. From shooting as a hobby to shooting as an art form, her work represents who she is and how she sees her own life, from her own struggles, to the simple joy that playing with dolls can bring. The ability to customize these dolls is what is most appealing to her; it's how she can put herself into them, by choosing their hair color, to their eyes, make-up and body parts. Everything about them represents who she is and what she's been through. She believes in using photography to please the eye and question emotions, and hopes that she can achieve that with these photos.
