Biography:
Alan Bigelow’s digital stories for the web have appeared in Turbulence.org, Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts, FILE, Root Division, E-Poetry, FreeWaves.org, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, and many other venues.
Created in Flash and using images, text, audio, and video, these non-traditional narratives employ poetic and occasionally humorous/ironic metaphors. Often they make statements about contemporary life, culture, and politics. The stories are created for viewing on the web, but they can be (and have been) shown as gallery installations.
In addition to teaching full-time at Medaille College in Buffalo, New York, USA, Bigelow is a visiting online lecturer in Creative Writing and New Media at De Montfort University, UK.
